Erling Haaland's agent has tipped the Manchester City star to become the world's first £1billion player.
Haaland, 22, looks likely to establish himself as one of the best goalscorers football has ever seen, having taken to the Premier League like a duck to water since his £51million summer move from Borussia Dortmund.
With that in mind, his agent Rafaela Pimenta believes he could go on to break the £1bn mark for a transfer. She told Sky Sports Italia: "I think Erling will be the first player to achieve a transfer that will be around £1bn.
"If you put together his football value, his image value, his sponsor value, it is for sure £1bn. It’s normal to compare Erling with [Kylian] Mbappe so you have a little bit of an idea of the market."
Haaland signed a four-year contract upon his arrival at the Etihad but such is the start that he's made in English football, reports have claimed City officials are keen to offer him new and improved terms already to tie him down for longer.
Pimenta offered a promising response about opening talks, saying: "I hope so. If they wanted to discuss today we'd be happy, why not? All is good."
It's been widely suggested that Haaland will leave City to join Real Madrid at some point in the next four years, with the Norwegian goal machine said to be determined to dominate in each of the top European leagues.
